ORDERING AN AXIS OF HOPE™ PRAYER WHEEL:
We hope this gives you enough to start with. We would be happy to talk by phone, E-mail, or in person.

THREE WAYS TO ORDER A WHEEL:

1. ORDER A READY-MADE PRAYER WHEEL FROM AXIS OF HOPE'S™ "STUDIO GALLERY" IN BELLINGHAM, WA:
Often you can buy an Axis of Hope™ Prayer Wheel ready-made from my Bellingham, Washington Studio Gallery simply by contacting me by phone, e-mail or post. I can always e-mail photos of Prayer Wheels available to you.

2. COMMERICIAL GALLERY ORDER
Or you can purchase a ready-made Prayer Wheel from a Commercial Gallery that carries my work. (Please See "Schedule/Galleries" for a contact list.). Most of the time, I can e-mail photos of my Prayer Wheels on display in Commercial Galleries to you for consideration. If you decide to purchase a Commercial Gallery's Wheel, you pay the gallery. If packing and shipping is needed, the Gallery will arrange it and charge you the amount.

3. CUSTOM ORDER A WHEEL OF YOUR DESIGN (or inspired by a Prayer Wheel in our Web Gallery) WITH CHRIS MOENCH at AXIS OF HOPE™

THINGS TO CONSIDER FOR A CUSTOM ORDER:

Please look at my "AXIS OF HOPE™" Web Gallery for ideas. Some particular elements you might consider are listed in bold letters below.

Just as often, people order a Prayer Wheel either based on a design in the "AXIS OF HOPE™" Web Gallery or based on a design we create together. I have created wheels for people who have very specific ideas (using specific animals, trees, family photos, family crests, etc) and for those who come to me with just a poem to inspire a design. I am flexible and enjoy a collaborative creative process

You don't have to make any decisions about all the elements listed below. You can simply say, "I want an urn like the one on the web site" if you wish. I just want you to know that the options are available if you wish.

SIZE: (height, width)

SHAPE: (straight-sided cylinder, barrel shaped, slight hour-glass, etc).

DESIGN on EXTERIOR of WHEEL: Ideas what you want the wheel to express in terms of a story or images such as landscape, animals, plants, cycles or symbols of your passions, loves and achievements. Do you want a deeply carved (woodblock style) design? Do you want line drawings (outlines)? Or perhaps a combination?

TEXT/MUSIC: Would you like text or music carved on the inside or outside. Some people like a poem or date carved in the bottom band.

COLOR: (iron oxide or colored glaze(s). Please note the glaze colors you see in the Gallery are the glazes I use. Reds, oranges, brilliant yellows and purples are not options at this point.

LID: flame shaped, dome shaped, flat-top, with or without a knob? Do you want something carved into the lid -- birds flying in a circle as the wheel turns, for instance -- or a symbol, or a leaf impression?

WAVE-CUTS on WHEEL TOP: Do you want many waves, medium number of waves, or few in frequency? Do you want wave tops even or uneven in height?

"BANDS" on TOP &/or BOTTOM OF WHEEL -- or NO BANDS: (If you chose "no bands" the design will extend from the wavy top to the wheel's base. If you chose "Top and Bottom Bands" the design is "framed" by a top band (just below the waves) and a bottom band (at the wheel's base). Some chose only one band.

BUDGET: Generally, prices for prayer wheels range from $250 to more than $4,000
depending on the size of the piece and the time involved in its design and creation. Please contact us to learn the prices of particular wheels you see in this web site or for custom designed work.

PAYMENT: VISA, MasterCard, Discover or Money Order

SHIPPING: We can ship anywhere in the world -- using UPS. We usually work with a local UPS store that packs and ships our Prayer Wheels with T.L.C.
